Minister for Environment and Climate Change at Lombardy Region
After being elected Regional Councillor in 2005, in July 2006 he became Minister for Infrastructure and Mobility of the Lombardy Region, reappointed in 2010. In 2013, he was re‐elected and appointed as President of the Regional Council until March 2018. Since March 2018 he is Minister for Environment and Climate Change at Lombardy Region, dealing with the following subjects: environment and nature protection, biodiversity, waste planning and management, raw materials, circular economy, climate change, air quality, environmental assessment, remediation, environmental education. He's the delegate for EUSALP Presidency 2019.

Dr. Patrick Dufour is managing director of Wirtschaftsförderung Raum Heilbronn GmbH (WFG), the Heilbronn Area Economic Development Corporation. Prior to joining WFG in 2010 Patrick has held numerous leading positions both in the industry and in regional development. Patrick Dufour graduated from Ruhr-Universität Bochum in 1997. He obtained his doctoral degree in Economic Geography from the same University in 2009. In his research he focused on cluster theory, cluster building and cluster management both in the United States and in Germany.

Paola is R&D manager at Città Studi Biella the Cluster manager of the Textile Innovation Cluster in Piemonte. She is now Città Studi’s in-house manager appointed at National and European Projects coordination, implementation, execution. She is working in the co-ordination of Po.in.tex (coordination of research activities, technology transfer and networking with national and international companies, clusters, research centers and institutions, partnership creation, organization of technical events and B2B, etc.). She is technology expert of the European Technology Platform for the Future of Textiles and Clothing.
Gerd Meier zu Koecker

Dr. Gerd Meier zu Koecker earned his PhD in Materials Science in 1995 and joined VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH in 1999, where he currently acts as deputy general manager. In October 2014, he also became general manager of the ClusterAgentur Baden-Württemberg. He has led several cluster and innovation policy projects in different parts of the world. He has published extensively on innovation, evaluation, impact measurements and related policy issues. He also functioned as one of the initiators of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative and the cluster benchmarking/labelling approach for cluster management excellence.

He is also a partner of the metacluster EU-TEXTILE 2030 (internationalization of the advanced textile industry); leader of the ALLIANCE project (COSME project) on textile & ICT for defence & security sector and Vice president of the COST ACTION CONTEXT (European network of smart textiles experts).

Born in 1959 in Bozen/Bolzano, stefan is married, with 2 children. He graduated at Vienna University of Economics and Business and is now President of Pan Surgelati Srl, leading producer of Frozen Food. From 2004 to 2010 Vice President of Assoimprenditori Alto Adige. From 2011 to 2017 President of Assoimprenditori Alto Adige. Since 2014 he is a member of the Committee of the Bolzano Chamber of Commerce, since 2015 member of the Board of Trustees of Villa Vigoni (German – Italian Centre of European Excellence) and since 2016 Vice President of Confindustria.

Graduated in business and economics at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Dr. Christof Prechtl is currently Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Head of the Department for Education and integration of refugees at the Bavarian Industry Association. He is also lecturer at University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (1996-2004; 2016-2018) and in the past he was teacher at a vocational and economic school (1998-2000). More recently, he was head of the Division Vocational Training (2000), Head of the department education (2002), Managing Director (2004), Deputy Chief Executive Officer (2017) at the Bavarian Industry Association and the Bavarian Employers’ Associations for the Metalworking and Electrical Industries.

He has been with RadiciGroup since 1992, when he took the position of marketing manager of Radici Novacips SpA, in the plastics area of RadiciGroup. In 2000 he became marketing manager of Radici Chemfin SpA, in the chemicals area of RadiciGroup, a position he held till 2003.
